Why are there two Messages apps on my Kid-Safe device?
Samsung devices feature two Messages apps (that is, for texts and messaging) built-in to the device:
Google Messages (being the default on most Samsung devices)
Samsung Messages
When changing settings for a Kid-Safe device, you might spot two Messages apps. You can find the difference between the two by hovering over the View link on each app listing.
Google Messages is com.google.android.apps.messaging
Samsung Messages is com.samsung.android.messaging
We usually suggest using the Google Messages app, because it's typically the default app, and it also has with a spam blocking feature.
