How to block porn on a Ubiquiti UniFi network site (web browser)
This guide demonstrates how to block harmful online content for a Ubiquiti UniFi network site with a web browser. If you would like to do this with the UniFi app instead, you can find out how to do so by clicking this link.
Step 1: Visit the Safe Surfer dashboard
Visit the Devices menu on the Safe Surfer dashboard (https://my.safesurfer.io/devices), then click the "+ New device" option.

Click the Wi-Fi and network option.

Click the Protect a Ubiquiti UniFi network option.

Enter a name for the UniFi site you would like to protect, then click the Continue button.

Step 2: Install protection
Open a new tab, then visit the UniFi website (https://unifi.ui.com) and sign in with your UI account. In the Site Manager, click the name of the site you would like to protect.

Once you've selected the applicable site, click the Settings menu icon on the left-hand sidebar.

Click the CyberSecure menu.

Click the Content Filter menu.

If you see the content filter options as per the following screenshot (that is, no installed content filter list), you can go back to the Protection menu. Otherwise, if you see a short list of installed content filters, you'll first need to remove each content filter until the list is empty.

Back on the Protection menu, click the Custom option for the Encrypted DNS feature.

Back on the Safe Surfer dashboard, click the Copy name button for Primary IPv4.

Back in UniFi, paste the name into the Server Name field.

Back on the Safe Surfer dashboard, click the corresponding Copy stamp button.

Back in UniFi, paste the stamp into the DNS Stamp field.

Click the Add option to save the filter server.

Repeat the same process to add the other three servers, then click the Apply Changes button.

After 30 seconds have passed since you saved the changes in UniFi, back on the Safe Surfer dashboard, click the Done button.

The dashboard should report that you have recent internet activity for the UniFi site. If you can't see any activity yet, try refreshing the page after another 30 seconds have passed.
