How can I block an app on my Kid-Safe device?
There are two ways you can block an app for a Kid-Safe device. You can do this on the Safe Surfer dashboard by visiting the Devices menu > click the More Info button on the applicable device listing for the Kid-Safe device > click the Blocking link to go to the Blocking menu. Once you've done this, there are two things to keep in mind:
Safe Surfer covers a lot of apps under its list of content categories. For example, if you block the Dating category, this will block a large amount of Android apps that we've tagged as Dating. The same applies for social media apps. If you block the Facebook category, this will block the Facebook app (and the website).
If you would like to block an app not covered by our content categories, you can scroll to the bottom of the Blocking menu and select the applicable app under the Apps section.
Once you've made these changes, click the Save button at the upper-right corner.
