Why is the Safe Surfer app not working after installing the Windows 11 2024 Update (24H2)?

If a device that you're protecting is running the Windows 11 2024 Update, and you try to install or uninstall protection inside the app, the process probably won't work correctly. In Windows 11 2024 Update, Microsoft disabled a core Windows tool that Safe Surfer used to install/uninstall protection. We have ported our protection code to a completely new system, which fully supports the Windows 11 2024 Update. To resolve this issue, you'll need to go through the following steps:

Update to Safe Surfer for Windows 1.2.0 or newer

First, you'll need to uninstall the old version of the Safe Surfer app. You can do this by opening the Start menu, searching for "safe surfer", and then clicking the Uninstall option. Once you've uninstalled the Safe Surfer app, you'll need to install the latest version of the app. You can find out how to do this by clicking this link. Installing or uninstalling protection will work correctly once you've done this.
