Unsupported macOS versions
Apple introduced a new technology feature in macOS 11 Big Sur that we use to install protection on a Mac device. Due to this, attempting to install protection on macOS 10.15 Catalina or older won't work. If you would like to use our basic free filtering on an older Mac at home, check our home Wi-Fi guide by clicking this link.
In macOS 12 Monterey, Apple introduced a software bug that stops the Safe Surfer protection from being installed or uninstalled. This bug does not affect macOS 13 Ventura or newer. Apple's software policy for Mac devices covers the latest three versions. As macOS 12 Monterey is more than three versions old, Apple will unfortunately not release a software fix for this bug.
