Uninstall Safe Surfer configuration profile on Mac

This guide will show you how to uninstall the Safe Surfer configuration profile on a Mac.

This uninstallation guide is intended for Macs manufactured prior to late 2020. If you used the Safe Surfer Mac app to install protection, you can view the correct guide by clicking this link.

Uninstall the Safe Surfer profile

Open the System Settings app, then click the General menu on the left-hand sidebar. Click the Device Management menu.

On macOS 11 Big Sur, the System Settings app is called System Preferences, where you'll need to click the Profile menu. On macOS 13 Ventura and macOS 14 Sonoma, you'll need to navigate to the Privacy & Security menu (found on the left-hand sidebar) > Profiles.

Click the Safe Surfer profile, then click the "–" button.

On the prompt that appears, click the Remove button. When asked, you'll need to enter the password for the Admin user account created during the installation guide (or any other user account with administrator permissions).

The Safe Surfer profile has now been successfully uninstalled.
