Prevent Uninstall for Oppo/OnePlus Devices

Oppo and OnePlus devices run ColorOS, which is their Android experience. Due to how ColorOS has been designed, you'll need to go through a few extra steps to make sure that ColorOS doesn't interfere with Safe Surfer.

We show these steps on an Oppo device (running Android 14, released in 2023), although the steps will be very similar if you are performing this on a different kind of device. If you have already finished all Prevent uninstallation steps inside the Safe Surfer app, the app might require your PIN to allow access to these settings.

Open the Settings app, then tap the Battery menu.

Tap the More settings menu.

Tap the Optimise battery use menu.

Tap the search bar at the top of the menu, then search for "safe surfer". Tap the listing for the Safe Surfer app once it appears.

Tap the Don't optimise option.

Go back to the Optimise battery use menu, then tap the back arrow at the upper-left corner.

Tap the App battery management menu.

Tap the search bar at the top of the menu, then search for "safe surfer". Tap the listing for the Safe Surfer app once it appears.

Turn on the switch for Allow background activity.

Tap the Allow option. Once you've done this, if there is also a switch for an option called Allow auto launch, you'll also need to turn that on.

You can now return to the Safe Surfer app to continue the Prevent uninstallation process.
