Reset my Safe Surfer app PIN on Android
Locked out of the Safe Surfer app? This brief article will help you reset your app PIN.
To reset the app PIN, you must have signed in with a Safe Surfer account during installation. If you cannot see a reset option on the PIN screen, this means that the app was originally installed with no account.
Open the Safe Surfer app—this will bring up the PIN screen. Tap the Reset option.
If you can't see the Reset option, or if you can't remember the password (and don't have access to the email address you used to log in), the only way to remove the Safe Surfer app is to perform what's called a hard reset (that is, accessing the recovery menu when turning on the device—this is sometimes called an external factory reset). You can find out how to do this for your specific phone model by searching for a tutorial on Google or YouTube (for example, "galaxy s23 hard reset"). This will provide you with a list of recovery options, specifically to "Wipe data/factory reset". Before performing this, you must make sure that you have backed up all files and app data on the device. Safe Surfer is not responsible for any data loss.
Enter the password for the Safe Surfer account used to install protection, then tap the Log in button.
If you've updated your account email address since Safe Surfer was installed, you can manually specify the new email address in the Email field.
Set a new PIN. Once you have done so, tap the OK button. You can now use the new PIN.
