This guide will show you how to apply parental controls to a Facebook account. It's good to keep in mind that this filtering is provided by Facebook's automated system, so we have no control over any content that appears. Once you have gone through this guide, Facebook will try to hide "sexually suggestive content", along with "certain violent or graphic content".

Reduce content

Open the Facebook app, then tap the three-bar icon at the upper-right corner.

Tap the Settings cog icon at the upper-right corner.

Under the Preferences section, tap the Content preferences menu.

Tap the Sensitive content menu.

Tap the Show less option.

Tap the Save button.

Tap the OK button.

The Sensitive content menu should now have a subtitle reporting the "Show less" option having been applied.

Great work! The Facebook app now has parental controls applied. If you would like to block Facebook on a device, you can do so by getting an affordable Pro Surfer subscription on the Safe Surfer dashboard and installing the Safe Surfer app.
