How to block spam messages on Messenger

Block message delivery from unknown accounts

Open the Messenger app, then tap the Menu option at the lower-right corner.

Tap the Settings menu.

Under the Preferences section, tap the "Privacy & safety" menu.

Under the "Who can reach you" section, tap the "Message delivery" menu.

Tap the "Others on Messenger or Facebook" menu.

Tap the "Don't receive requests" option.

Tap the back option at the upper-left corner.

The "Others on Messenger or Facebook" menu should now have a subtitle reporting the "Don't receive requests" option having been applied.

Setup complete
