How can I install permanent mode in Safe Surfer for Android?

Some Android devices might interfere with the normal VPN-based protection connection that Safe Surfer uses for filtering. If you see a blue button on the protection menu regarding permanent mode, we strongly recommend using this.

If you have a device manufactured by Google, Samsung, ASUS, or similar, and you would like to use Private DNS instead of the standard VPN-based connection, you can find out how to do so by clicking this link.

Install permanent mode

Open the Safe Surfer app, then tap the "Install Permanent mode" button.

Scroll down the instructions, then tap the Copy link button.

Tap the search bar / icon in the Settings app.

Search for "private dns", then tap the Private DNS listing.

Tap the Private DNS menu.

Tap the third option. This is usually labelled "Private DNS provider hostname" or similar.

Paste the protection connection link into the text box.

Tap the Save option.

Within a few seconds, you should see the protection connection link listed as the subtitle of the Private DNS menu.

Back inside the Safe Surfer app, the installation button will become hidden, signifying that you have successfully installed permanent mode.
