# What do Safe Surfer optional features do?

The Safe Surfer app features advanced technology on Samsung/Android and Windows devices to enhance your online protection experience. This comes in the form of three features:

# App blocking

The app blocking feature uses custom Safe Surfer technology to provide you with full control over individual apps for a seamless blocking and screentime experience.

# Texts & social media monitoring

The texts & social media monitoring feature uses sentiment analysis technology built by Safe Surfer to capture what is taking place on a screen, and then privately and securely analyse text for potentially inappropriate communication. This helps you keep in the know of what is happening on a device.

|| Texts & social media monitoring might consume more device battery if enabled.

# Nudity detection

The nudity detection feature is similar to the texts & social media monitoring feature, but instead of text, it privately and securely analyses what is taking place on a screen for potentially inappropriate images. This helps you keep in the know of what is happening on a device.

|| Nudity detection doesn't affect the quality of filtering, and it might consume more device battery if enabled.
