# Is the Kid-Safe experience tamper-proof?

Safe Surfer's Kid-Safe Experience with supported Samsung devices takes advantage of a Samsung technology called Knox, which enables us to provide a tamper-proof (or locked down) experience. With regard to the Knox software solution, we can provide the following functionality in addition to our [normal experience for all Android phones](https://helpdesk.safesurfer.io/en-nz/article/protect-an-android-device-with-safe-surfer-1d7pmt5/):

* Force disable the factory reset features of the device (inside both the Settings app and the hardware recovery features), along with disabling the flashing of firmware inside Download mode
* Force disable the Safe mode feature
* Force disable sideloading apps (that is, attempting to manually install apps outside of an app store)
* Force hide the Google Play Store and Galaxy Store apps, which are used to download apps
* Force hide various other apps, such as Google Chrome, Samsung Internet, and YouTube
