# How does the Social media monitoring feature work on Safe Surfer for Android?

Safe Surfer for Android supports a feature called Social media monitoring. When enabled, the Safe Surfer app will monitor texts and social media messages received into the device's notification centre. If something is detected, information regarding the detection is securely sent to your Safe Surfer account. | You can enable this feature by opening the Safe Surfer app on the device, scrolling down to the Social media monitoring section, and enabling it by tapping the blue button found in that section.
